structural buoyancy.

"This is the kind of work I love to do because it is free from commercial constraints. With shoes like these, I don’t ever think of selling. They just satisfy the creative craving that I get. They allow me to combine different times and places: in this one, for example, I mix the brutality of Etruscan fortitude with a bit of Scottish Highlands and then a touch of the extremities of Celia Cruz, the Cuban singer who I admired so much as a child! It’s completely irrational, I know, but this is the work that keeps me going."

the beginning.

Here is a picture. A picture of you painted by me. You can’t see it, but you look lovely. Shaken by the reality that you are not always in control. Frightened, and cautious. Melancholy wells in the depths of your gaze. You are strong. You are able. Let me hang this picture on the wall. You have never been more beautiful. Circumstances should not numb your soul:

Dear circumstance,
You are an asshole.

Blink. Each moment. Each moment can be a modern remake of your most gratifying memories. Let’s laugh together.

dull.

Capture my attention. Captivate my senses, but senses grow senseless. So excite me. Where are the electrifying beings? Full of life and arousing tales? This is the pattern it seems. With time, charm is no longer enticing... Faded. They all fade. Like a fake n’ bake tan at your neighbourhood tanning spa. Not because they have changed. But because all of the fascinating elements of their personality have already been explored. Where do the long-term interesting people in this world reside? Is there a cave, or a hut, or a remote island that has a magnetic force so powerful that all of them have been grasped away? The others. I’m looking for a mental block party with a guest set by Matthew Herbert and an opening speech by Oscar Wilde. Read a book you boring fuck.

mcqueen, you bloody genius.
